Okay, so, today I wanna talk about my little adventure with these so-called “ugly” gemstones. I’ve always been kinda into shiny things, but not really like a hardcore collector or anything. I just like the vibe, you know?

So, the other day I was like, let’s do something fun. I’m gonna try to find some cheap gemstones and see what I can do with them. I don’t have a whole bunch of money but I did some research online, seems like cheap stones can also work, depending on your zodiac sign and the planet and some “Mahadasha” thing. Whatever.
Finding the Ugly Ones
I started by just poking around online to learn about it. Seems like there’s a whole bunch of crystals that are good for beginners, like Clear Quartz, Amethyst, Rose Quartz, and a bunch of others I’d never heard of. I was feeling a bit overwhelmed, not gonna lie. Each zodiac sign is related to a planet and a gemstone, it can affect their lives by their birth chart. What a mess! Like, Aries people can wear coral, Taurus can wear opal or diamond, and Gemini can wear emerald, Cancer should wear pearl, and so on.
I figured I’d hit up some local shops around here. I went to all those small stores, and just picked up the ones I liked, whatever cheap, doesn’t matter. It’s kinda fun! I got some in different shapes and colors, some are super rough, but that’s part of the fun, right?
Playing Around with Them
Once I got home, I was like, okay, now what? I decided to just mess around and see what felt right. Here’s what I did:
- Sorted them: First, I just laid them all out on the table and sorted them by color and size. It was kinda like a little puzzle.
- Tried different combinations: I started putting different stones together, just playing with the colors and textures. Some combinations just looked cool together, even though they were all kinda “ugly” in their own way.
- Made some jewelry: I’m not really good at making jewelry or anything, but I thought, why not? I grabbed some wire and tried to wrap some of the stones. It was messy, but I ended up with a few wonky but unique pieces. I even made a necklace that I kinda like.
What I Learned
Honestly, the whole thing was way more fun than I expected. It’s not about having the fanciest, most expensive stones. It’s about being creative and just having fun with it. I realized that even these so-called “ugly” gemstones have their own kind of beauty. And hey, even if they don’t have any magical powers or whatever, they still look cool, and that’s enough for me. I did not spend too much money, but I had a great time. It felt good to just use my hands and make something, even if it’s not perfect. Who cares?

So yeah, that’s my story about my little adventure with ugly gemstones. Maybe it’ll inspire you to try something similar. It’s a good way to kill some time and maybe discover a new hobby. I mean, I’m not gonna become a professional jeweler or anything, but it was definitely a fun experience.
