Alright, so you wanna know about them Hamptons celebrities, huh? Let me tell ya, it’s a whole different world out there. Them rich folks, movie stars, singers, they all got houses bigger than my whole village!
Fancy Houses and Big Money
I heard tell there’s this singer, Beyonce I think her name is, and some cookin’ lady, Rachael Ray, they got places out there. And that Stella McCartney, the one who makes them clothes, she’s there too. They got these places, they call ’em “mansions,” right on the beach. Can you imagine? Wakin’ up every mornin’ lookin’ at the ocean. Must be nice. But Lord, the money they must spend!
- Big houses, real big.
- Right on the water, the ocean I mean.
- Lots of privacy, nobody botherin’ ’em.
They say East Hampton is the place to be if you got the dough. That’s where all the big shots go. Business folks, movie stars, all of ’em. It’s a long ways from the city, but they don’t care. They got their cars, their drivers, probably even their own helicopters. Land sakes, I can barely afford a ride on the bus!
Boats and Beaches
Then there’s these places called Sag Harbor and Montauk. You can only get there by boat, they say. And that’s what these fancy folks do. They got these big boats, yachts they call ’em, and they just park ’em right there in the water. Then they go into town, spendin’ money, eatin’ in fancy restaurants. I tell ya, it’s a whole different life.
The beaches, oh the beaches! They say they’re somethin’ special. Clean, white sand, clear water. Perfect for them celebrities to lay around and soak up the sun. And them houses right on the beach? Must be somethin’ else. Private, quiet, just them and the waves.
Spending Like Crazy
Now, I heard tell that just visitin’ this place costs a fortune. Someone said it’s like a hundred bucks a day, maybe even more! And that’s just for one person! If you bring your husband or your friend, you’re lookin’ at two hundred, three hundred, maybe even a thousand dollars a day! Can you believe it? What do they spend all that money on? Food, I guess, and them fancy hotels. And probably just lookin’ at stuff, ’cause everything out there costs a arm and a leg.
Stars Everywhere You Look
They got maps, you know, maps of where all the stars live. So you can drive around and look at their houses. Not that you can get close, mind you. They got gates and guards and all sorts of security. But you can see the houses from the road. Big, beautiful houses, every last one of ’em.
So yeah, that’s the Hamptons for ya. Rich folks, big houses, boats, beaches, and lots and lots of money. It’s a world away from my life, that’s for sure. But it’s somethin’ to think about, ain’t it? How some folks live like kings and queens, and others… well, we just get by. But that’s alright. We got our own kind of happiness, right here in our own little corner of the world.
The Hamptons life isn’t for everyone. It’s a lot of show, a lot of money, and a whole lot of fuss. Me? I’m happy right where I am, thank you very much. But it’s always fun to hear about how the other half lives, even if it’s just a bunch of rich folks spending money and showing off. It’s a different world out there in them Hamptons, a world most of us will only ever see on TV or read about in magazines.
