So I finally decided to catch that Glam Show Dakota everybody’s raving about downtown. Honestly? Biggest headache was figuring out their stupid schedule. Clicked around online like crazy – show’s official site, ticket sellers, event pages. All total mess.
Their main page? Useless. Just flashing pictures and “BUY TICKETS NOW!” buttons. Couldn’t find the actual performance times anywhere obvious. Felt like they were hiding it. Clicked the “Schedule” link thinking that’d be it… nope. Dead end landing on some VIP package page. Annoying.
Scrolled down forever. Finally spotted this tiny little calendar thing buried near the footer. Clicked on a date – nothing. Tried clicking faster. Still zip. Thought maybe my browser was busted. Switched from Chrome to Firefox… same useless calendar. Nearly threw my laptop out the window.
Gave up on their site completely after that waste of time. Jumped over to the big ticket site everybody uses. Searched for “Glam Show Dakota”. Dates finally showed up! Felt like winning the lottery for a sec.
Here’s what actually worked for finding Dakota’s showtimes:
- Theatre Box Office Website: Had to search the actual theatre name hosting it, not just the show name. Their site layout wasn’t much better, but the dates were listed under “Current Shows” once I dug in.
- Major Ticket Platform: Yep, filtering by venue sorted it out fast. Showtimes popped right up once I picked a date range.
- Old School Phone Call: Dialed the theatre hotline number listed. Waited on hold for ages listening to terrible elevator music version of pop songs. Real person eventually confirmed the weekends Dakota performs. Relief!
When You Can See Dakota & The Crew (Main Weekend Run):
Based on my digging and the actual box office info:
- Next Week (July 25th – 29th): Evenings at 7:30 PM. Extra late show Saturday night at 10 PM.
- Week After (August 1st – 5th): Nights again at 7:30 PM. Saturday gets that extra 10 PM show.
- Special Matinee Alert! Sundays at 1 PM & 5 PM only. Found that tucked away on the venue FAQ page like some kinda secret.
Showed up Saturday night for the 10 PM slot. Place was packed! Security line took forever, barely got in before curtain. Totally worth it though – crazy costumes, insane energy. Felt exhausted just watching them jump around! Learned my lesson: always double-check timings direct with the venue or verified sellers next time.
Oh! Little bonus tip if you go: Hang out near the stage door exit after the show ends (about 90 mins past start time). That’s usually when Dakota and some others slip out. Got a quick picture that way!
