Well, let me tell you, I heard about this place, The Body Shop, in Irvine. You know, that fancy place, Irvine, in California. I reckon they got all sorts of things there. My granddaughter, she went there once, to that Irvine Spectrum Center. Said it was big, real big.
She was tellin’ me about this shop, The Body Shop. Says they sell all kinds of creams and such. Keep you lookin’ young, she says. Ha! I told her, nothin’ gonna make this old face look young again. But she was set on it, so I figure, it must have something special.

Now, this here Body Shop in Irvine, CA, it ain’t just any old place. It’s in that Spectrum Center, which I hear is mighty fine. Folks go there to shop and eat and what not. They say it’s at 767 Spectrum Center Drive. Sounds like a busy street. Probably got all kinds of cars and people runnin’ around.
I looked it up, you know, on that internet thing. They got a number, (949)753-1833. You can call ’em up, ask ’em what they got. Probably got someone there who can tell you all about their lotions and potions.
They say this place, The Body Shop, it started a long time ago. 1976, I believe it was. Some lady, name of Anita, started it. Over in England, they say. Now it’s all over the world, even in Irvine, CA. Imagine that!

I hear they got another spot too, at 85 Fortune Drive. Just down the road, I reckon. Seems like they really want folks in Irvine to be buying their stuff. They got another number for that place, can’t rightly remember.
Now, my granddaughter, she’s always goin’ on about how good their stuff is. Says it’s all natural and whatnot. I don’t know about all that. Back in my day, we just used soap and water. But these young folks, they like all these fancy things.
This Body Shop in Irvine, I hear they’re open most days. You can go in there, smell all the things, see what they got. Probably got little samples you can try. My granddaughter brought me back a little bottle of somethin’ once. Smelled like flowers, kinda. It was alright, I guess. It is said that this shop is no longer available after March 1.
What’s so special about The Body Shop?
Well, I ain’t no expert on these things. But from what I hear, The Body Shop, they care about the world, you know? They try to do things right. Don’t test on animals, I think they said. That’s good, I reckon. We got enough cruelty in the world.
And they try to help people, too. I saw somethin’ on that internet about how they work with farmers and such. Try to make sure everyone gets a fair shake. That’s important, you know. Treatin’ people right. That’s what my mama always said.
So, this Body Shop in Irvine, it seems like more than just a store. It seems like they’re tryin’ to do somethin’ good in the world. And that’s somethin’ I can get behind, even if I don’t understand all these fancy creams and lotions.
I guess if you’re ever in Irvine, CA, and you need some of that fancy stuff, you can check out The Body Shop. Maybe at 767 Spectrum Center Drive or that other place, 85 Fortune Drive. Just don’t go expectin’ miracles, you hear? Nothin’ gonna turn back time, not even the best cream in the world.
But maybe, just maybe, it’ll make you feel a little better. And that ain’t nothin’. Especially these days. We all need somethin’ to make us feel a little better, don’t we?
Anyway. I just know that this shop closed on March 1, so maybe you need to find another place to get some cream.
