Okay, so Thanksgiving is coming up, and I really wanted to put some thought into my outfit this year. Not just throw on any old thing, you know?

First, I scrolled through my closet. Total disaster zone. I pulled out anything that looked remotely fall-ish – you know, browns, oranges, maybe a deep red. I had a few sweaters, some corduroy pants, and a couple of dresses that might work.
The Try-On Session
Next, the fun part (and the most chaotic). I started trying things on. One sweater was way too itchy. Another one made me look like a pumpkin. The corduroys? Let’s just say they were a little…snug. I tried a burgundy dress, it is pretty nice, but then I thought it might be too dressy for family dinner.
- Itchy sweater: Nope.
- Pumpkin-esque sweater: Definitely nope.
- Snug corduroys: Maybe next year.
- Burgundy dress: It is so pretty, but saved for other big day.
I was starting to feel a little discouraged. But then, I remembered this flowy, cream-colored top I had tucked away. It’s got these cute little embroidered flowers on it. I paired it with some dark-wash jeans and brown ankle boots. And boom! It looked pretty good! Comfortable, but still put-together.
To finish it off, I added a simple gold necklace and some dangly earrings. I’m thinking of maybe a loose braid or a low bun for my hair. Nothing too fussy. I also want to do natural makeup look.
I think I finally nailed it! A Thanksgiving outfit that’s comfy, festive, and still feels like me. Now, bring on the turkey!
