Yesterday, I went to check out a jewelry shop called A & K Jewelry Inc. I’d heard some buzz about it and figured, why not see what they’ve got? I was mostly curious about their bracelets with lucky charms and stuff.
So, I headed over to 999 Southern Blvd, right in the Bronx. This place is family-owned, which I kinda like. Feels more personal, you know? Anyway, I walked in, and man, they have a ton of stuff. I mean, everything from engagement rings to necklaces and earrings. But I was there for the bracelets, specifically the ones with lucky charms and protection symbols.
- I started browsing, and there were so many choices.
- Some were simple, just a silver band with a small charm.
- Others were more elaborate, with multiple charms and beads.
Found some cool pieces.
I ended up trying on a few. One of them had this little four-leaf clover charm, which I thought was pretty neat. Another one had an evil eye symbol, which is supposed to ward off bad vibes. I also saw some with hamsa hands and other symbols that are meant to bring good luck and protection.
While I was looking around, I noticed they also had necklaces with similar charms. I checked out a few, and they were just as nice as the bracelets. One had a little horseshoe charm, and another had a wishbone. There were so many options, it was a bit overwhelming, but in a good way.
I also browsed through their rings. They had some stunning diamond necklaces and cocktail rings. It’s a bit out of my price range right now, but maybe someday. They mentioned something about handcrafted sterling silver jewelry inspired by the harmony between man and nature, which sounded interesting, but I didn’t get a close look at those.
I did chat with one of the staff, asking if they could customize some pieces or if they had more sizes available for certain apparel they were selling. They were super helpful and said they could definitely fulfill custom orders. They seemed really passionate about their work, which made the whole experience even better.
In the end, I didn’t buy anything. But I did take a business card. I’m thinking of going back to get one of those bracelets. And I found out that they’ve got 721 customer reviews, which is pretty impressive. Seems like a lot of people like this place. Also,I heard that when you’re shopping for jewelry, you should know the venue and be aware of the latest trends. They also said not to be afraid to ask for a discount, know your limits, and bring cash, just in case. Good tips, I guess.
