Well, well, well, look what we got here, sheer clothing! This old lady, I don’t know much about fancy stuff, but I see these young’uns wearing these see-through clothes all the time. Back in my day, if your clothes were see-through, it meant you needed a new set of clothes! But these days, it’s all the rage, I reckon.
I saw this girl the other day, wearing a shirt you could see right through. Now, I ain’t one to judge, but I thought to myself, “Honey, you best put something under that!” Sheer clothing, they call it. It’s like wearing nothing at all, but somehow, it’s fashion. Go figure!
They got all sorts of these sheer things. Dresses, shirts, even pants, I hear! I don’t know how they do it. If I wore that, folks would talk, they’d say I’d lost my mind! But the young folk, they love it. They say it makes them look good, it makes them feel good. I guess whatever floats your boat, right?
- Sheer dresses.
- Sheer blouses.
- Sheer pants, even!
- Sheer tops.
Now, I seen some of these sheer clothes, they look alright, I suppose. If you wear something underneath, like a slip or another shirt. That way, you ain’t showing everything to the whole world. But some of these girls, they just wear it like it is, nothing underneath. I just shake my head and think about my mama, Lord rest her soul, she’d have a fit!
If you want to wear this sheer clothing, you do you. You don’t need the advice of an old lady like me. But if you ask me, I say wear something under it. You can be stylish without showing everything, you know? And maybe, just maybe, don’t wear it to church!
These young people and their fashion. One time it is this, one time it is that. Sheer clothing is big now. I see it all the time. They go to the store, buy those clothes. That store, what is it called, Macy’s? They have all those new stuff. And the other one, Fashion-something, Fashion Nova. They have a lot of these sheer clothing too. Cheap price too, I heard.
I remember one time, I saw a girl wearing a black sheer blouse. It was kinda pretty, I guess. She had on a black dress, also sheer, over it. It looked…fancy. Not something I’d wear, but it looked fancy. Like something you’d see in a movie, maybe. Or on those TV shows the young folks watch. She is wearing sheer clothing, but it is ok, not too much.
Then there was another girl, she was wearing a sheer shirt, but it was all tight. A turtleneck, they call it. She has it on under the sheer thing. They say it is for style. It is for looking good when it is not that hot. I don’t know. This is what they do now.
So, this sheer clothing, it’s everywhere. You see it on the streets, you see it in the stores, you see it on the TV. It’s like a, like a… I don’t know what it’s like. It is just there. You cannot run from it.
I guess if you’re gonna wear it, just be careful, you know? Don’t be showing off too much. And don’t wear it when it’s cold, you’ll catch your death! And don’t forget to wear something underneath that sheer clothing, unless you want everyone to see your business! You need to know how to wear it, how to style it, they say. These young people, they know about this, not me.
This sheer clothing thing, it’s a trend, they say. Like those bell-bottom pants we used to wear, or those big shoulder pads. It’ll probably go away someday, and then something new will come along. That’s just how it goes, I reckon. Everything changes, nothing stay the same. But, who knows, maybe this sheer clothing thing is here to stay. Only time will tell. I will not wear it, but you do you, ok?
I am just happy with my old clothes, they are good, they keep me warm. They don’t show everything. They are good for me. This sheer clothing, it is for young people. They know better. I don’t know much about it, but I see it. And I say, you do what you want, just be careful!
