Okay, so I’ve been eyeing the Saucony Progrid Omni 9 for a while now. I saw some cool colorways online, and I’m a sucker for that retro, chunky sneaker look. It’s been a minute since I rocked Sauconys, so I figured, why not? I decided to give them a shot.
First things first, I hit up a few stores. I like to try shoes on in person, especially if I haven’t worn the brand in a while. Sizing can be tricky. I went to a couple of local spots, but they didn’t have the colorway I wanted. Bummer!
So, I resorted to online shopping. I found the pair I wanted – a nice silver and blue combo. I’m usually a size 10, but I read some reviews saying they run a little small. So, I went up half a size to 10.5. Fingers crossed!
The package arrived a few days later, and I ripped it open like a kid on Christmas morning. The shoes looked even better in person! The materials seemed pretty good, and I was digging the overall vibe.
Trying Them Out
I slipped them on, and they felt pretty comfy right away. The Progrid cushioning felt nice and supportive, not too squishy, not too firm. I walked around the house a bit to get a feel for them. So far, so good!
The real test was taking them out for a spin. I wore them on a few errands, a quick trip to the grocery store, and a walk around the block. They felt great! No weird rubbing or discomfort. My feet felt secure and supported.

I even took them for a short jog, just to see how they’d handle. They weren’t bad, but I think they’re more of a casual, everyday shoe than a serious running shoe. At least for me.
Overall, I’m really happy with these. They’re comfortable, stylish, and they seem pretty * you’re looking for a cool, retro-inspired sneaker with a comfortable feel, it is my way, my personal choice, I would recommend checking out the Saucony Progrid Omni 9. Just maybe consider going up half a size if you’re between sizes.
