How I Put Together the Sasha Colby Victory Celebration Reel
Woke up Thursday buzzing like a bee after seeing Twitter explode over Sasha’s crowning. Grabbed my phone still wearing pajamas and started scrolling hashtags like a maniac. Saw hundreds of shaky phone videos popping up everywhere – living rooms, gay bars, dorm rooms – all going nuts during that crowning moment.
Plugged my laptop charger in real quick because this was gonna take hours. Opened three different browser windows to search YouTube, Twitter, and Insta all at once. Went straight for the reaction compilations other fans already made but most were messy as hell. Quality bounced between potato-cam and decent 1080p. Didn’t matter though – needed the raw hype.
My editing workflow looked like this:
- Downloaded 47 clips using sketchy converter sites that made my antivirus freak out
- Chugged cold brew while sorting clips into “ugly crying” “screaming” and “dancing on furniture” folders
- Cropped out all the TikTok watermarks using this janky free editor that crashed twice
- Spent 90 minutes syncing the “OMG SHE DID IT!” screams with her actual crowning moment
Nearly fried my old laptop trying to render the timeline with all those clips. Fans in Brazil came through with the hypest footage so those went in first. Left in that one girl’s snot bubble during her sob fest because come on – that’s real emotion right there.
Posted it to Twitter before my brain caught up. Spilled coffee all over my keyboard when notifications started blowing up. Queen Sasha herself liked it! DMs flooded with drag artists and theater kids asking to share it. Got messy though – drama started when some gatekeepy fans complained I left out their favorites. Whatever, haters always gonna chirp.
Ended up making microwave nachos at 3am watching the views climb. Still got greasy cheese on my shirt from that victory snack. Would totally lose sleep editing again for our queen. That reaction reel’s hitting 500k by Sunday – bet my left wig on it.
