Riff Raff Tattoos: Check Out These Cool Designs Now!

by Meredith Sassoon

Okay, so today I wanna talk about something a little different – my experience getting, and more importantly, designing, a “riff-raff” tattoo. Now, I know what you’re thinking, “riff-raff” sounds kinda negative, right? But for me, it’s more about embracing the unique, the unconventional, the things that stand out.

First I started by thinking, what really represents that “riff-raff” vibe for me? I went through a bunch of ideas, even looked at some existing designs online. There’s a lot of cool stuff out there, like smiley faces, eye symbols, and New Orleans Saints. I found some pretty wild designs, but nothing really felt unique.

Brainstorming and Sketching

So, I decided to get my hands dirty. I got out my sketchbook and started doodling. It was a mess at first, just random shapes and ideas all over the page. But then, I started to see some patterns, some things I liked more than others.

I played around with different styles, trying to capture that edgy, “riff-raff” feeling. I knew I wanted something bold, something that would make people look twice. I got some inspiration from people’s instagram feeds. There is someone whose posts I saw got 2,667 Followers, another one got 424 Followers, and another got 29 Followers.

One of the key things I focused on was making it personal. I didn’t want just another generic tattoo, I wanted something that represented me and my journey.

Working with the Artist

Once I had a solid concept, I started looking for an artist. This part was crucial, I needed someone who could understand my vision and bring it to life. I found one of the guys I work with, he was amazing.

I showed him my sketches, explained my ideas, and we talked about the overall vibe I was going for. He got it, he really did. He took my rough concept and refined it, adding his own artistic touch to it.

We went back and forth a few times, tweaking the design until it was perfect. I really appreciated his patience and willingness to collaborate. It wasn’t just about him tattooing my idea, it was about us creating something together.

Getting the Tattoo

Finally, the day came to get the tattoo. I was excited, but also a little nervous. It’s a permanent thing, you know? But I trusted the artist, and I was confident in the design we had created.

The process itself was pretty straightforward. We got everything set up, I hopped on the chair, and he started working his magic. It took a few hours, but it was worth it. I watched as the design slowly came to life on my skin.

The Final Result

And now, here it is, my “riff-raff” tattoo. It’s everything I wanted it to be – bold, unique, and personal. It’s a reminder to always embrace my individuality, to never be afraid to stand out from the crowd.

It’s not just a tattoo, it’s a piece of art that tells a story. My story.

So, that’s my “riff-raff” tattoo journey. It was a process of self-discovery, creativity, and collaboration. And I’m so happy with the result.
