So, I was kicking back the other day, thinking about old shows I used to watch. You know, just letting the mind wander. And somehow, I ended up thinking about that weird puppet show, Dinosaurs. The one with the baby who always yelled, “Not the mama!” Yeah, that one.
Then, I remembered hearing something a while back, something that sounded totally off. Someone told me, or maybe I read it somewhere online, I forget, that the Olsen twins were in it. Yeah, Mary-Kate and Ashley. In Dinosaurs. My first reaction was like, “Huh? How would that even work?” They were little kids, sure, but it was a puppet show. Were they inside the costumes? That didn’t seem right.
It bugged me, you know? Like an itch I couldn’t scratch. So, I decided to do a little digging. Fired up the computer and just started searching around. Typed in stuff like “Olsen twins Dinosaurs show” and things like that.
Found a whole mess of stuff. Lots of forums and trivia sites mentioning it. The story seemed to be that they both shared the role of Baby Sinclair. You know, like they did with Michelle Tanner on Full House. Because of rules about how long kids can work, studios often hired twins to play one baby character.
Okay, I thought, that kinda makes sense. It fits their pattern. But still, Dinosaurs? It felt weird. I kept looking, trying to find something more solid. Like an official cast list, or an interview where someone involved confirmed it.
The more I looked, the less clear it got. Some places were dead sure they did it. Others were just as sure it was a myth, probably people getting confused with Full House because they were famous TV babies around the same time.
I couldn’t find any actual proof, like a photo of them on set or a credit listing them for the role. All the confirmed stuff points to Kevin Clash being the main puppeteer and the voice of Baby Sinclair.
So, after going down that rabbit hole for a bit, I’m kinda thinking it’s just one of those internet rumors that sounds plausible enough to stick around. Maybe they were considered? Maybe someone just made the connection years ago and it spread? Who knows.
Still, it was funny to think about for a while. Picturing one of the tiny Olsen twins somehow being involved with that loudmouth dinosaur baby. Just a weird piece of potential trivia I had to track down. Goes to show, you really can’t believe everything you read online without checking it out.
