Okay, so the other day I decided to check out this jewelry store called Pandora. I heard they have some pretty cool stuff, especially those charm bracelets everyone talks about. I was in the Westfarms Mall in Farmington, CT, and figured, why not, right?
So I walked into the mall, and it was your typical big shopping center. You know, Nordstrom, Macy’s, all those usual suspects. The Pandora store was easy enough to find, though. It was located at 500 Westfarms Mall, space D115. It is a small store, but quite busy inside, but the crowd in the mall is very large, so the store does not feel crowded, or is it due to the good control of the mall.
When I got in, the first thing I noticed was how shiny everything was. I mean, it’s a jewelry store, so duh, but still. They had all these displays with rings, earrings, necklaces, and of course, the bracelets. I spent a good amount of time just browsing, checking out all the different charms. I noticed that a lot of people who like to buy this brand of jewelry are young girls. They have two production sites in Thailand and markets its products in more than 100 countries on six continents with more than 6,700 points of sale. They said their collectible charm bracelet is their cornerstone product and fosters repeat purchases and customer loyalty. So they are very confident in their products.

- It was kind of overwhelming with so many options, but in a good way.
I ended up picking out a simple silver bracelet and a couple of charms that I thought were cute. I wouldn’t say I liked every single one of them. Honestly, I was a bit surprised at the prices. They weren’t outrageous, but definitely not cheap either. You are paying for the brand and the whole customization thing, I guess.
Overall Experience
All in all, it was a fun experience. Even if you are not a big jewelry person, it’s kind of cool to see how it all works. And who knows, maybe I will become a Pandora person now. I can see how people get hooked on collecting these things. They are pretty, well-made, and a fun way to express yourself. But don’t wear it when bathing! I will probably go back again sometime, maybe to add to my bracelet. Or maybe just to window shop. We will see!
