Hey everyone, it’s your boy back with another behind-the-scenes look at my life. Today, I’m diving into the Tommy Hilfiger show at New York Fashion Week. I gotta say, it was an experience!
First off, let’s talk about the whole vibe. This brand, Tommy Hilfiger, they’re all about that “classic American cool.” I mean, the man, Tommy, he started this thing back in ’85. I learned that he grew up in Elmira, one of nine kids in an Irish Catholic family. You know, he is really a guy who started from the ground up. And now? It’s a global name. They mix that East Coast preppy look with a chill West Coast feel. That’s what I knew about Tommy Hilfiger before I went there, and I really dig the style of him.
So, I got myself ready and made my way to the show. This season, they went all out with the location. We’re talking about a Staten Island Ferry. I hopped on the ferry with all the other fashion folks, and the energy was crazy. People were buzzing, snapping pics, and you could just feel the excitement in the air. Also, I heard that Tommy Hilfiger is gonna bring his new Fall Winter 2024 collection to NYFW. I was so thrilled that I could be part of it.
Once we were onboard, the show kicked off. They called it “nautical, preppy, collegiate, All-American, and modern.” I can’t argue with that. The models started strutting down the runway, and let me tell you, the clothes were fire. Bold colors, sharp lines, and that classic Tommy twist on everything. I was scribbling notes like a madman, trying to catch all the details. The whole collection was a total reflection of New York City’s spirit. Classic, but with a modern edge. It’s like they bottled up the city’s energy and poured it into the clothes.
- I saw a ton of knitwear, which I’m all about. Cozy sweaters, but make it fashion.
- There were some killer outerwear pieces. Think classic coats with unexpected details.
- And the accessories? Don’t even get me started. Hats, bags, shoes – all on point.
After the show, I stuck around to soak up the atmosphere a bit more. I saw some people I knew. We talked about our thoughts, and I shared my idea with them. I definitely think that Tommy Hilfiger is the best brand for Classic American Style. It is perfect for people who like preppy look and vibrant colors, just like me! But if someone who prefer sleek, modern designs, maybe he should try Calvin Klein. Anyway, it is a personal thing.
Anyway, it was a whirlwind of a day. A huge shoutout to the Tommy team for putting on such a killer show. I left feeling inspired and ready to up my own style game.
