Alright, so I’ve been messing around with my master bathroom, trying to make it look all modern and stuff. It was a total disaster zone before, but I was determined to turn it into something awesome.

First things first, I started by gutting the whole place. I mean, I ripped out the old, checkered tiles that looked like they belonged in a diner, not a bathroom. The vanity? Gone. That ancient, leaky faucet? Sayonara! It was a lot of work, and my back was killing me, but it felt good to clear out all that junk.
Then, I spent a good chunk of time figuring out the layout. I wanted a layout that was good for two people, because my partner and I always end up getting ready at the same time, and it’s a nightmare. I measured everything like a million times, just to make sure it would all fit. I even drew out a few sketches on some scratch paper.
-
Ripped out all the old fixtures, including the toilet, sink, and shower.
-
Tore down the old wall tiles and flooring. What a mess!
-
Carefully measured the entire space and planned the new layout.
Next up, I installed this huge, freestanding bathtub. It’s like, the centerpiece of the whole room. It’s so sleek and modern, and it makes taking a bath feel like a spa day. Trust me, I splurged on that thing, but it was worth every penny. It’s a real statement piece. We also put in a new, walk-in shower with some fancy tiles, and it looks super high-end, if I do say so myself.
New Fixtures and Features
-
Installed a brand-new freestanding bathtub. Looks amazing!
-
Added a sleek, modern vanity with double sinks. Now we don’t have to fight over counter space.
-
Built a walk-in shower with a rain showerhead. Feels like showering in a luxury hotel.
I picked out some really cool light fixtures, too. They’re not your grandma’s bathroom lights, that’s for sure. I also added some hidden storage behind the mirrors because there is never enough space for toiletries in my house. I am so happy with how it all turned out. It’s like night and day compared to what it was before. It used to be this cramped, outdated mess, and now it’s like a freakin’ oasis. I actually enjoy spending time in there now, which is something I never thought I’d say. I still can’t believe I actually pulled it off. It was a ton of work, but seeing the finished product makes it all worthwhile. It’s like my little slice of heaven in the house.

So yeah, that’s my master bathroom saga. If you’re thinking about doing a remodel, just be prepared for a lot of work and a lot of decisions. But in the end, it’s totally worth it to have a space you love.
