Hey, everyone, I tried something new today and wanted to share my experience with you all. I decided to check out this thing called Maverick’s Watch, or MavsTV. I’d heard it’s a new streaming platform for Dallas Mavericks fans. And who am I to say no to some good basketball?

So, the first thing I did was to figure out where to find this MavsTV. Turns out, it’s supposed to be this central place for all things Mavericks, where you can watch games, live or old ones. Sounds good so far, right?
Next, I had to check if I could even access it. Apparently, you gotta be in the Dallas Mavericks approved region. They even have this thing on their website where you can punch in your zip code to see if you’re in the club. Thankfully, I was. But here’s a catch – even if you’re in, you can only access it while traveling domestically for 30 days after. Kind of a bummer for folks who travel a lot, I guess.
- Found out where to find MavsTV
- Checked my eligibility based on location
- Discovered the 30-day domestic travel access limit
Then I looked into how to actually watch the games. You can watch them on a few places like Space City Home Network, NBA TV, ESPN, and ABC, but that’s part of some “Pro package” that costs nearly a hundred bucks a month. Ouch, my wallet felt that. But, they say MavsTV is the only way to stream locally televised games without cable or satellite if you’re in the market.
So, I dug deeper into this MavsTV thing. They had their first game streaming on October 26th, Mavs vs. Suns, and it’s available throughout Texas and some parts of Arkansas and Louisiana.
I also found out you can stream it from your phone, smart TV, or computer. Pretty convenient, I gotta say.

- Explored viewing options: Space City Home Network, NBA TV, ESPN, ABC
- Investigated MavsTV’s launch and regional availability
- Confirmed multi-device streaming capability
Then came the price. It’s about 15 bucks a month, or around 125 for the whole season. But then I saw there’s a “one-team league pass” for 90 bucks a season if you just want to watch the Mavericks. Not too bad, I guess. And they have something for students, but I didn’t look into that since I’m way past my student days.
Lastly, I stumbled upon this tidbit about the team’s value. Apparently, some big-shot magazine called Forbes said the team was worth 4.5 billion in October 2023. That’s a whole lot of zeros!
Overall, it was an interesting dive into the world of MavsTV. It’s got its pros and cons, like everything else. It was a bit of a hassle to go through all that, to be honest. If you’re a die-hard Mavericks fan in the right area, it might be worth checking out. For me, I’ll probably just stick to the usual ways of catching the games for now. It just feels more straightforward, you know?
Anyway, that’s my little adventure with MavsTV. If any of you have tried it, I’d love to hear what you thought. Let me know in the comments!
