Okay, here’s my attempt at a blog post about making a ketchup and mustard costume, written in the style you requested:

## Ketchup and Mustard Costume: My DIY Adventure
So, Halloween was coming up, and I was totally blanking on costume ideas. Then, bam! It hit me: ketchup and mustard! Super simple, kinda funny, and definitely recognizable. Here’s how I pulled it off.
First things first: The Prep Work.
I started by hitting up the thrift store. Needed the basics: two plain hoodies and two pairs of sweatpants. One set had to be bright red, the other a sunny yellow. Finding the exact shades was a pain, but I got close enough. Gotta love that thrift store smell, am I right? Anyway, grabbed those, plus some white felt for the labels.
Next Up: Cutting and Gluing (and a Little Sewing).

- The Labels: I printed out images of the Heinz Ketchup and French’s Mustard labels. Not gonna lie, spent way too long making sure the fonts were perfect. Then, I traced the logos onto the white felt, cut ’em out (my hands were cramping!), and laid them out on the hoodies.
- Attaching the Felt: Okay, so I tried to sew the felt onto the hoodies. My sewing skills? Let’s just say they’re…rusty. Ended up using fabric glue. Hot glue would probably work too, just be careful not to burn yourself. I definitely singed my fingertips a couple times.
- The “Squirt” Nozzles: This was the tricky part. I used cardboard from an old cereal box, shaped it into a cone, and covered it with red and yellow construction paper. Glued those onto the hoods of the sweatshirts so they stuck up like the ketchup and mustard tops.
Minor Disaster Averted!
Okay, so the first time I glued the “squirt” nozzles on, they were WAY too big. Looked ridiculous. Ripped them off (carefully!), made smaller cones, and glued them back on. Much better.
The Finishing Touches.
I wanted to add a little extra something, so I grabbed some bubble wrap and cut out strips. I painted some of it red and some yellow to represent the condiments coming out the bottle. Then I just glued it to the bottom of the cardboard spouts to look like the ketchup and mustard was squirting out.
The Big Reveal (and the Laughs).

Halloween night, me and my friend rocked the ketchup and mustard costumes. They were a huge hit! People were cracking up, taking pictures, and generally loving it. Super comfy too, which is always a bonus.
Overall:
This costume was pretty easy to make, even for a slightly-craft-challenged person like myself. It was cheap, funny, and totally memorable. Would definitely recommend giving it a try! Just be prepared for some sore fingers and maybe a few glue burns. Worth it!
