My Trip to Erewhon Pacific Palisades
Okay, so I kept hearing about this place, Erewhon. Especially the one over in Pacific Palisades. Seemed like everyone was talking about it, seeing it online, you know the deal. Decided I had to just go check it out myself, see what all the fuss was about.
Drove over there, it was a pretty nice day. Finding the place wasn’t hard, right there in the Palisades Village area. Parking, well, it’s the Palisades, so you kinda know what to expect. Found a spot eventually, wasn’t too terrible.
Walked up to the entrance. It looks nice from the outside, clean, kinda modern but fits in with the area. Headed inside.
First Impressions Inside
First thing you notice? It’s bright. And packed. Lots of people milling around. It felt busy, definitely had a vibe. Everything looked really well organized, almost like a fancy showroom but, you know, for groceries. The produce section right near the front looked amazing, super fresh, very colorful. But yeah, you look at the prices, and you notice those too, right away.
Wandering the Aisles
I started just walking around, taking it all in. They’ve got all sorts of stuff you don’t see in a regular supermarket. Lots of health-focused brands, supplements, fancy snacks. It’s kind of overwhelming, actually. So many options.
- Checked out the drinks section – tons of juices, kombuchas, weird healthy shots.
- Looked at the pre-packaged meals – they looked good, convenient for sure.
- Saw the famous smoothie bar. There was definitely a line there. Lots of people grabbing those colorful drinks.
Trying the Goods (and the Hype)
I figured, while I’m here, might as well try something. Didn’t go for the super famous celebrity smoothie, just got a simpler green one. It took a bit to get it made. Tasted… healthy. Yeah, it was good, fresh ingredients, you could tell. But worth the price tag? I’m still debating that one in my head. Also grabbed a little something from their hot food bar, some roasted veggies and chicken. Again, tasted good, quality seemed high.
The Scene
It was interesting just watching people. Lots of folks seemed like they just came from a workout. Others looked like they were doing their regular grocery shopping, loading up carts. It’s definitely a place to see and be seen, I guess. Felt very LA, very health-conscious chic.
Checking Out and Final Thoughts
Grabbed my few items, headed to the checkout. The line moved okay. Yeah, the total definitely makes you blink. It adds up fast there, no doubt about it.
So, I left Erewhon Pacific Palisades having seen it for myself. It’s an experience, that’s for sure. The quality of everything seems top-notch, gotta give them that. It’s a beautiful store with lots of interesting, healthy stuff. Would I do my regular weekly shopping there? Probably not, gotta be honest. My wallet would scream. But for picking up something special, or trying a fancy smoothie, or just seeing what a high-end grocery store looks like? Yeah, it was worth the trip just to see it once. Glad I went.
