Okay, so, I’ve been trying out this stuff called Latisse to make my eyelashes longer and fuller. I heard some things about it maybe changing your eye color, and honestly, that kinda freaked me out at first. But I really wanted to give it a shot, so I did some digging and decided to just go for it.
I started using Latisse every night, carefully applying it to the base of my upper eyelashes with those little brushes it comes with. I did my best to avoid putting it to the other places on my skin. I made sure to use it exactly as the instructions said, you know, to be on the safe side.
For the first few weeks, I didn’t notice much of anything, either with my lashes or my eyes. Then, slowly but surely, my lashes started getting longer and a bit thicker. It was pretty cool to see, not gonna lie. I kept on using it, keeping an eye out (pun intended!) for any changes in my eye color.
I remember reading somewhere that the ingredient in Latisse might darken the iris, especially around the edges, and I also read if I stop using it, the original appearance of the eyelashes should come back in weeks or months, and any eyelid darkening should also reverse after that time.
- After a couple of months, I did start to see a tiny, tiny bit of darkening around the outer edge of my irises.
- It was super subtle, though. Like, you’d have to be staring really hard at my eyes to even notice. I asked my close friends and family if they could see a difference, and most of them said no.
- Now, after using Latisse for a good while, my lashes are definitely way longer and fuller than before. It works great, but I know I need to keep using it to see the result.
About the eye color thing, my eyes are just a little bit darker than they used to be, mostly around the edges, but nothing dramatic. A little bit browner, but nothing crazy. And it seems the change is more or less permanent.
So, yeah, Latisse did make a slight change to my eye color, but it’s barely noticeable. And the difference it made to my lashes? Totally worth it, in my opinion.
