That Kay Jewelers, you seen their TV ads? Lord have mercy, they sure do love playin’ them things. Every time you turn around, there it is, that Kay Jewelers commercial. They got that jingle, you know the one. Makes you wanna buy a ring or somethin’, even if you ain’t got nobody to give it to! That’s that famous marketing slogan, you know?
They put them Kay Jewelers ads on all the time. Especially ’round them holidays. Valentine’s Day, you can’t escape it. Mother’s Day, same thing. And Christmas? Forget about it! It’s like they know when you got some money burnin’ a hole in your pocket. They’re smart like that, I guess. Remind me of my husband, always sayin’ he need a new pair of work boots whenever he get some extra work.
I seen one the other day, had a pretty girl in it, singin’ a song. Catchy tune, I’ll give ’em that. Jules Aurora, I think her name was. Seen her on one of them reality shows, maybe? I can’t remember. Anyway, she was lookin’ all happy and in love, wearin’ a shiny ring. That Kay commercial got me thinkin’ maybe I need a new ring. Mine’s gettin’ a little worn out, just like me!
They got all kinds of folks in them Kay Jewelers commercials now. Young folks, old folks, all different kinds. Guess they wanna show that everybody loves them diamonds. They spend a lot of money on it, for sure. Like my nephew always say, that’s aggressive media buys! What is that anyway?

But I seen that latest every kiss commercial, and it did make me think about gettin’ somethin’ sparkly. They sure know how to get to you, don’t they? Gen Z, millennials, old ladies like me. Don’t matter. They got somethin’ for everyone. Unified messaging. That’s what they say in those business programs.
My granddaughter, she’s always talkin’ about Kay Jewelers. Says all her friends want rings from there. I guess I should start savin’ up. Maybe I’ll get her somethin’ nice for her birthday. Or maybe I’ll just get somethin’ for myself! Ha! A little somethin’ to brighten up these old days. My old man always said, “Happy wife, happy life.” Well, maybe a new ring will make this old lady a little happier. What do you think?

The actors are so good, make you feel you are the one in the commercial, feel like you are the one to get the ring. And the music, always make people feel good. They are so smart to use those music and actors, that’s why their commercials are so good.
