Okay, so I was checking out this guy, Julien Tornare, the other day. I had heard the name, and I wanted to see what he’s all about. Turns out, he’s a pretty big deal in the watch world.
First off, I dug around a bit online, just to get a basic idea. It looks like he’s been running TAG Heuer since about mid-2017, which is a good chunk of time. That’s one of those fancy Swiss watch brands, in case you didn’t know. From what I could tell, he’s done some interesting things there, shaking things up a bit. But get this – now he’s jumping ship! Yeah, starting September 1st, he’s taking over as CEO of Hublot. Another big-shot watch brand. I guess they liked what they saw at TAG Heuer.
So, after I got the gist, I started looking for some interviews or articles with him. I wanted to hear his own thoughts, you know? I found a couple of things where he talks about his plans for TAG Heuer. I got the impression that he’s all about thinking ahead, trying new stuff, that sort of thing.
- There was one post where he launched a special edition watch for the Mexican market, that seemed pretty cool.
- I also stumbled upon this weird rumor about him maybe going to New York to do something with baseball, I think it was. It was talking about trading some player named Ben Rice, I don’t know, it sounded pretty out there. I don’t follow baseball at all, so maybe that makes sense to someone who does.
Then I noticed something else. In some discussions online, people were talking about how big changes might be coming to these watch companies. When there’s a new boss, you never know what’s going to happen, right? I can only imagine how the folks working at TAG Heuer and Hublot are feeling right now. They must be wondering what Julien’s got up his sleeve.
Anyway, that’s what I learned about this Julien Tornare. Seems like a guy who’s not afraid to make moves, and he’s definitely someone to watch (pun intended!) in the luxury watch game. I bet we’ll be hearing a lot more about him in the coming months. I might even keep an eye on Hublot’s website to see what they come up with next.

It’s interesting to see how one person can cause such a ripple effect. His move from TAG Heuer to Hublot is like a big deal in that world. I guess it shows that even in these established industries, things are always changing. And who knows, maybe this Julien guy will bring some fresh ideas to the table and make these watch brands even more popular. We’ll just have to wait and see.
