Okay, so I was scrolling through Instagram the other day, and BAM! There was JoJo Siwa, rocking another one of her crazy colorful outfits. This time, it was like a full-on rainbow explosion, and I thought, “I gotta try that… somehow.” So, I decided to do a little JoJo Siwa rainbow-inspired look, not the whole outfit ’cause, you know, I’m not 12.
The Rainbow Eye
First, I primed my eyelids. Gotta have that base, you know? Then, I dug into my makeup collection. I swear, I have every color eyeshadow imaginable.
- I started with red on the inner corner of my eye.
- Then, I blended orange next to it.
- Followed by yellow, then green.
- Of course, I had to add blue and a touch of purple on the outer corner.
It was kinda messy at first, ngl. I used like, five different brushes to try and blend everything without it turning into a muddy mess. I even used some make-up tape to keep the look clean. It took some work, wiping off some color, reapplying, more blending… But, hey, that’s makeup, right?
Glitter and Shine!
You can’t have a JoJo look without glitter, duh! So, I grabbed my glitter palette. I mean a full on pallet dedicated to glitter!
I patted some iridescent glitter all over my lid. Oh, and I also put some on my cheekbones. Because, why not? More is more when it comes to glitter, am I right?
Also decided to add rhinestones. I mean jojo is know for bling. So I added some, I looked like a disco ball, but in a good way, I think.
The Finishing Touches
I finished it off with some black eyeliner – a little wing, nothing too crazy. And, of course, tons of mascara. I even put on some false eyelashes, because, again, why not go all out?
For my lips, I went with a bright pink lipstick. And I topped it off with some clear, sparkly gloss. Gotta have that shine!
It was… a lot. Definitely not an everyday look, haha! But, it was fun! Felt like a total pop star for a few hours. Might even try it again for a party or something. Who knows, maybe I’ll even add a giant bow next time! 😉
