I called a few nearby vape shops, and one of them actually had a decent little digital scale. Hopped in the car again and drove over there. It wasn’t the perfect scale, but it was small, digital, and measured to 0.1 grams, which was good enough for what I needed for now.
Grabbed it, brought it home, and tested it out. It worked like a charm! Finally, I could accurately weigh those tiny components I was working with. It wasn’t the jewellery store solution I originally thought of, but hey, sometimes the best solutions are the ones you stumble upon. Who knew a vape shop would come to the rescue?
The lesson here? Don’t just stick to the obvious. Sometimes thinking outside the box – or in this case, outside the jewellery box – can lead you to the right tool for the job.
