Is the blush on nose trend still fashionable? Here is why people adore this makeup technique.

Okay, so I’ve been seeing this ‘blush on the nose’ thing everywhere lately. You know, like on TikTok and Instagram? At first, I kinda thought, “Really? Blush… on your nose? Isn’t that where you try not to be red?” But hey, gotta try things, right? So, I decided to give it a whirl myself.

Is the blush on nose trend still fashionable? Here is why people adore this makeup technique.

Getting Started

First things first, I had to figure out what blush to use. I’ve got a few lying around. I thought maybe a cream blush would look more natural, kinda blend into the skin better. But then I worried it might look greasy on my nose, which can get a bit shiny anyway. So, I settled on a powder blush. I picked a peachy-pink shade, nothing too bright or too dark. Something that kinda mimics a natural flush, like you’ve been out in the sun for a bit (but, you know, without the sun damage).

The Actual Process

Alright, tools. I grabbed my fluffiest, smallest blush brush. Didn’t want anything too dense, figured that would deposit too much color in one spot. My plan was to build it up slowly.

  • Step 1: I tapped the brush lightly into the powder blush. Seriously, just a little tap. Then I tapped off the excess. This part’s important, learned that the hard way with cheek blush back in the day.
  • Step 2: Okay, where to put it? The pictures I saw showed it kinda across the bridge of the nose, maybe spilling slightly onto the upper cheeks right next to the nose. So, I aimed for the bridge, sort of horizontally.
  • Step 3: I just gently swept the brush across the bridge. Like, super light pressure. Didn’t want a harsh line.
  • Step 4: Then, I used the same brush, with basically no extra product on it, to kinda blend the edges out. I swept it slightly downwards on the sides of the nose bridge and a tiny bit onto the apples of my cheeks closest to my nose, just to connect it all and make it look less random.
  • Step 5: I stepped back and looked. It was subtle. Maybe too subtle? So I repeated Step 1 and 3, just adding another tiny layer right on the center of the bridge.

My Thoughts

You know what? It wasn’t bad! It actually looked kinda cute. It gave this youthful, slightly sunkissed vibe, even though I hadn’t been outside much. It definitely makes you look warmer and maybe a bit more… I don’t know, innocent? Like you just came in from playing outside.

Things I learned:

  • Definitely start with less product than you think you need. You can always add more, but taking away blush is a pain.
  • Blending is key. Make sure there are no harsh lines. It needs to look like a natural flush.
  • Placement matters. Right across the bridge seems to be the sweet spot. Too low and it might look like you have a cold.
  • The shade I picked worked well. Probably best to stick to shades that look like your natural flush.

So yeah, that was my little experiment with the nose blush trend. It’s actually pretty easy to do and adds a nice little touch. I don’t know if I’ll do it every single day, but for a fresh, slightly different look? Thumbs up from me. Give it a try if you’re curious, just remember to go light-handed!
