Okay, let’s talk about my run-in with the MSGM brand.

It actually started pretty randomly. I was just scrolling through some fashion stuff online, you know, killing time. Didn’t really have anything specific in mind. Then I saw this really bright, almost LOUD sweatshirt. Big letters, crazy color combo. It just jumped out at me.
I thought, “What is this?” So, I did a quick search for the name, MSGM. Found their stuff. Lots of bold prints, bright colors, kind of playful but still felt… put-together? It wasn’t like cheap kid’s stuff, it had a certain style. I spent a good while just looking through the different pieces they had online. Some of it was a bit much for me, honestly, but some pieces, especially the simpler logo stuff or the block color items, really caught my eye.
Deciding to give it a try
After seeing it pop up a few more times, I decided I wanted to actually see it in person, feel the material. Online pictures can be tricky, right? I found a department store nearby that carried the brand. So, one weekend, I went over there specifically to check it out.
Walking up to the section, it definitely stood out. Just like online, very vibrant. I started touching the fabrics. Mostly sweatshirts, tees, some knits. The cotton felt pretty good, quite thick and soft on the sweatshirts. The prints were really sharp up close. I picked up a classic logo t-shirt, a simple black one with the white MSGM letters.

Trying it on and the purchase
I took that t-shirt and a brighter, colourful printed sweatshirt into the fitting room. The tee fit well, pretty standard sizing, felt comfortable. The sweatshirt was definitely loud, but kinda fun. The fit was a bit oversized, which I liked. Quality seemed solid on both.
Here’s the thing, the prices were… up there. Definitely not cheap for a tee or a sweatshirt. I stood there for a bit, thinking about it. Was it really worth that much? In the end, I decided to just go for the black logo t-shirt. It felt like a safer bet, something I’d wear more often than the super bright sweatshirt, especially given the cost.
So, I bought the t-shirt. The checkout process was simple, nothing special there.
Wearing it and final thoughts
I’ve worn that MSGM tee quite a bit since then. It washes well, hasn’t lost its shape or faded much. It’s comfortable. It’s simple, but the logo gives it that little bit of brand recognition, I guess. It feels like good quality cotton.
My overall take?

- The Look: Definitely bold, youthful, lots of energy. If you like bright colors and prints, it’s great.
- The Quality: Seems pretty decent, at least on the item I bought. Feels durable.
- The Price: This is the main sticking point for me. It’s quite expensive for what it is, especially for casual wear like tees and sweatshirts. You’re paying a premium for the brand name and the Italian design.
So, yeah, that was my little journey with MSGM. Started with seeing a bright sweatshirt online, ended up buying a simple tee after checking it out in person. It’s a cool brand if you like that flashy Italian style and don’t mind the price tag. For me, I like the t-shirt, but I’m not sure I’ll be rushing back to buy more unless I find something truly unique on a good sale. It was an interesting experience to explore a brand that’s so visually distinct.
