So, I was messing around with this idea to make a black and red Diesel shirt. I’m no fashion designer, but I thought it would be a cool project to try out.

First thing I did was grab a plain black shirt. Just a regular, nothing-special kind of tee. I figured black would be a good base color to start with. Then, I needed some red fabric. I ended up using some old red cloth that I had. It wasn’t much, but it was enough for what I had in mind.
I started cutting the red fabric into these long strips. I wanted to make it look kinda like stripes, you know? I wasn’t really following any pattern, just kinda eyeballing it. After I had a bunch of these red strips, I started sewing them onto the black shirt. It was a bit tricky, trying to get them straight and even, but I took my time and did my best.
- First, get a black shirt and some red fabric.
- Cut the red fabric into strips.
- Sew the strips onto the shirt.
I sewed the strips all over the shirt. Some on the front, some on the back, and even a few on the sleeves. I was going for this kinda random, asymmetrical look. I didn’t want it to look too perfect or anything. Like it was just thrown together, but in a cool way.
Once I finished sewing all the strips, I decided to add a few more details. I found these old iron on transfer paper. I searched for some graphic online and printed one on the paper. Then ironed it right onto the front of the shirt. It was this cool, worn-out-looking logo thing. It fit the whole vibe I was going for.
The Final Result
When it was all done, I gotta say, I was pretty happy with how it turned out. It definitely wasn’t a professional job or anything, but it was unique. It was my own creation. It had that whole DIY, punk rock kind of feel to it. I’ve worn it out a few times, and people have actually asked me where I got it. I just tell them, “Oh, I made it.” They’re usually pretty surprised.

Anyway, that’s the story of my black and red Diesel shirt. It was a fun little project, and it taught me a bit about sewing and customizing clothes. Maybe I’ll try something like this again in the future. Who knows?
