Got Messy With Sports Brands Mix Idea
Yesterday got this wild idea. Thought maybe could mix adidas stripes with under armour tech together. Make some cool hybrid gear. Just grabbed my old adidas hoodie and under armour shirt. Laid them flat on kitchen table.

First step: Cutting stuff. Took big scissors to slice off sleeves from the shirt. Messed up hard here. Fingers shook too much. Scissors slipped and cut a giant hole in the hoodie’s armpit part. Fabric shreds everywhere on floor. Already ruining two things.
Tried to fix with sewing machine after. Borrowed neighbor’s sewing box. Fired up the machine. Tried stitching under armour sleeve onto adidas body part. Machine needles kept breaking. Loud clicking noise. Fabric kept getting stuck under needle plate. Whole thing bunched into wrinkled mess.
Worse part was the gluing attempt. Thought glue gun would help hold stuff. Melted glue blobbed all over the place. Glue stuck to fingers. Burned thumb when yanking away. Stuck shirt pieces together wrong direction. Stuck the ironing board cover too. Glue strings everywhere like spider web.
Final disaster steps:
- Sewn sleeve ripped off when tried pulling hoodie on
- Glue stains permanent on both materials
- Stitching lines looked like drunk caterpillar walking
- Blew sewing machine fuse trying push thick layers
Ended with this ugly franken-jacket. Can’t wear it outside. Hoodie wrecked. Shirt destroyed. Why tell you this? Last job fired me over similar crap.

Worked at local printing shop before. Boss wanted quick t-shirt design mashup for community event. Tried mix two sponsor logos into one. Screen printing disaster. Ink smeared everywhere. Wrong colors mixed. Wasted thirty shirts. Boss screamed about money loss. Called me “designer wanna-be failure”. Threw the ruined shirts at me and kicked me out.
Got no warnings or nothing. Worked there almost two years. Last paycheck never came either. Texted him – blocked me. Called office – “this person quit”. Still owe me like $800. Office ladies won’t answer phones now. Saw my replacement next week. They hired kid straight outta high school.
That’s why I know brands don’t mix easy. Materials fight. Sewing machine hates you. Bosses get crazy. Lessons cost money. Money go bye bye.
