So yesterday I’m scrolling through Twitter and bam, Henrik Lundqvist pops up looking sharp as heck in GQ. Gotta say, seeing King Henrik suit up outside the rink? Immediate click. Felt like something cool to share.

Digging Up The Goods
First thing, tracked down the actual article itself. Wasn’t hidden or anything, just hopped onto the GQ website. Easy enough. Started reading it proper. Kinda fun seeing him talk about retirement life and his suits. Dude’s got style, no surprise. Wanted the best bits for my folks.
Okay, Now The Photos…
Honestly, this part took way longer than it should’ve. Was like:
Click, click, click through tons of thumbnails. Gotta choose wisely, right? Got sidetracked for like… ten minutes. Coffee break happened here. Needed fuel.
- Goal: Grab shots showing his vibe – serious hockey legend meets stylish dude.
- Problem: Too many great ones! Couldn’t pick just two.
- Solution: Scrolled back and forth for ages. Ended up picking:
- One classy black & white portrait – pure Lundqvist intensity.
- One looking relaxed but sharp in a light suit. More approachable.
Time To Make It My Own
Now, the hard part: writing the thing. Opened a blank doc. Stared at it. Wrote a terrible headline. Deleted it. Wrote another. Worse. Ate some chips.
Finally just started typing:

“Henrik Lundqvist proved he’s still a king…” – simple, direct. Okay, better.
Wanted it casual. Dumped facts from the article (exclusive interview stuff) but kept it light. Mentioned his style confidence. Avoided sounding like a press release. Tried to just sound like me talking.
Hit a wall halfway through. Went for a walk. Seriously. Came back, scrapped half of it. Rewrote.
Putting It Out There
Uploaded those killer photos first. Makes people stop scrolling. Then plopped the text below. Reread the whole thing five times. Fixed some clunky sentences. Added bold tags to punch up key stuff like “Exclusive Insights” – gives it oomph.

Double-checked GQ wasn’t gonna mind me showing their pics. Looked fine for sharing like this. Tagged Lundqvist and GQ. Held my breath and hit POST.
And that was it. Felt good sharing that. He nailed the feature, seemed right to pass it along. Bit messy figuring out the photos? Yep. Worth it? Totally.
