Alright, so I was watching “House of Gucci” the other day, and I got totally sidetracked by something super random. I started noticing all these animals popping up in the background of scenes. Like, not in a “oh, there’s a dog” kind of way, but more like, “wait, was that a cat on that multi-million dollar yacht?” It felt intentional, you know?

So, I started this little project. I decided I’d go through the movie again and try to spot every single animal cameo I could find. I grabbed a notepad and a pen, re-watched the movie, and started jotting down every instance.
- First, I rewound to the early scenes, the ones in Italy. I noticed a few pigeons, naturally, around the outdoor cafes. Nothing too crazy there.
- Then, during one of the fashion shows, I swear I saw a small dog being carried by one of the models. It was quick, but I think it was a chihuahua. Had to pause and rewind that a few times!
- Later, in some of the mansion scenes, I spotted a couple of well-groomed cats lounging around. They looked very fancy, like they belonged there.
- I remembered reading somewhere about a horse, tried to find the horse. I did it! In the background when two people were talking.
It was actually kind of fun, like a weird little scavenger hunt. I ended up with a pretty decent list. I think it adds another layer to the movie.
It’s like the animals are these silent observers to all the Gucci family drama. Maybe it’s supposed to be symbolic, I dunno, but it definitely gave me something to think about!
