House by Ocean: Top Locations and what is buying guid!

by Marvin Connie

Today, I decided to build a little house by the ocean. Nothing fancy, just a simple place to enjoy the view. I’ve always loved the sound of the waves, so I figured, why not give it a shot?

Getting Started

First, I grabbed some basic tools – a hammer, some nails, a saw, and a bunch of wood I had lying around. I didn’t really have a blueprint or anything, just a general idea in my head. I picked a spot on the beach that seemed relatively flat and stable, far enough from the water to avoid any unexpected high tides.

Building the Frame

I started by laying down four corner posts, making sure they were somewhat level. It wasn’t perfect, but hey, it’s a beach hut, not the Taj Mahal. Then, I connected the posts with some horizontal beams, creating a basic rectangular frame. I nailed everything together, hoping it would hold. It was a bit wobbly at first, but I added some diagonal supports, and that seemed to do the trick.

Adding Walls and a Roof

Next up, the walls. I used some wider planks for this, nailing them to the frame. I left a space for a doorway and a couple of small windows. For the roof, I just laid some planks across the top, overlapping them slightly to keep the rain out. Again, not perfect, but functional. I may improve on it when I find something better to use.

The Finishing Touches

I added a simple door made from some leftover wood and used some rope as a makeshift handle. And there it’s a good view.

Final Thoughts

It’s not much, but it’s mine.

  • Location: Right on the beach, with a perfect view of the ocean.
  • Structure: Simple wooden frame with plank walls and a slightly slanted roof.
  • Features: A doorway, a couple of windows, and a whole lot of character.

Building this little house was a fun little project. It reminded me that sometimes, the simplest things can be the most rewarding. I can’t wait to spend some time here, just listening to the waves and enjoying the peace and quiet.
