Okay, so, I’ve been eyeing the Hermes Mini Kelly for a while now. It’s just so darn cute, you know? But let me tell you, getting my hands on one was a whole adventure in itself.

The Hunt Begins
First off, I started hitting up the Hermes boutiques. I went to a few different stores, tried to charm the sales associates, the whole nine yards. I’d walk in, all smiles, and ask about the Mini Kelly. Most of the time, I got a polite but firm “no.” They’d tell me it’s a super popular bag, really hard to get, and that there were long waiting lists. Waiting lists! Can you believe it? I mean, I get it’s a hot item, but still.
The Waiting Game
Undeterred, I put my name down on a few of those lists. I figured, what’s the harm, right? So I waited. And waited. And waited some more. I’d call the stores every now and then, just to check in, see if there was any news. Nope, nothing. It felt like I was chasing a ghost, honestly.
The Breakthrough
Then, one day, out of the blue, I got a call. It was one of the sales associates I’d met. She said they had a Mini Kelly in stock and asked if I was still interested. Interested? Are you kidding me? I almost dropped the phone! I told her I’d be there as soon as I could.
Mission Accomplished
I rushed to the store, heart pounding like crazy. And there it was, in all its glory. A beautiful, tiny, perfect Mini Kelly. I tried to play it cool, but inside I was doing a happy dance. I inspected the bag, made sure everything was perfect, and then, I bought it. Finally, it was mine!
Living with the Mini Kelly
Now that I’ve had it for a bit, let me tell you about actually using it. It’s definitely small, you can’t fit a ton in there. Forget about your phone, it won’t fit unless you have one of those tiny old flip phones. But I can squeeze in my keys, a small cardholder, and a lipstick. It’s perfect for a night out or when you just need the essentials.
- What I love:
- It’s ridiculously cute.
- It’s a statement piece.
- It’s surprisingly versatile – goes with everything from jeans to dresses.
- What’s not so great:
- It’s tiny. Really tiny.
- It’s not the most practical bag for everyday use.
- The price tag… let’s not talk about that.
All in all, despite its size limitations, I’m totally in love with my Mini Kelly. It’s a special little bag, and the whole adventure of getting it just makes it even more precious to me.
