Alright, guys, so I’ve been on this kick lately, diving deep into classic movies and trying to find some iconic filming locations. And what’s more iconic than The Godfather Part II? Specifically, I wanted to see if I could pinpoint that stunning Lake Tahoe house where all the drama goes down.

So, first thing I did was, I jumped online. I just started searching, really simply at first like, “Godfather 2 lake tahoe house”. A whole bunch of stuff popped up, but it was mostly just general info about the movie, nothing specific about the actual house.
Then, I got a little smarter. I remembered that in the movie, they mention the name “Fleur du Lac” a few times. It’s the name of the estate. So I tossed that into my search, “Fleur du Lac Godfather II”. Boom! That got me closer. I started seeing results mentioning a private estate, and some articles hinting at the location.
Digging Through Forums
Next, I figured, let’s check out some forums. I hit up some movie buff sites and some Lake Tahoe travel forums. People were talking about it, sharing bits and pieces of information. Somebody mentioned that it was on the west shore, and someone else posted what they thought was the address, but it seemed kinda sketchy.
Using Maps
Okay, armed with this semi-shaky info, I hopped onto an online map. I started zooming in on the west shore of Lake Tahoe. I spent like, a solid hour just scanning the coastline, looking for anything that resembled that grand, sprawling estate from the movie.I used Satellite picture to help me find this place.
Putting It All Together
Finally, after cross-referencing everything – the forum hints, the articles about Fleur du Lac, and my own eyes on the map – I’m pretty sure I found * turned out that it’s a gated community, so you can’t just drive up to it. That’s why it was so hard to find exact info online, I guess.

It’s was a rush, So, yeah, that was my little adventure. It’s pretty cool to think about all those intense scenes, and now I feel like I’ve got a little piece of that movie history figured out. Hope this helps you guys!
