Alright, so I’ve been getting into perfumes lately, you know, trying to find that perfect scent. I heard a lot about this one called Erba Pura by Xerjoff. People online keep saying it’s this amazing, fruity, long-lasting fragrance, created by these perfumers Christian Carbonnel and Laura Santander. And it’s unisex, which is cool. The top notes are supposed to be all citrusy, like Sicilian orange, Calabrian bergamot, and Sicilian lemon. Sounds refreshing, right?
Anyway, I was looking to buy a bottle, and I found someone selling it online. But here’s the thing – I wanted to make sure it was legit, a full, unused bottle. So, I got this idea to check the weight. If I knew the weight of a brand new, full bottle of Erba Pura, I could weigh the one I was buying and see if it matched. Makes sense?
I started searching online, and man, it was harder than I thought to find the weight of just the bottle. I found some info about the perfume itself – it’s supposed to smell good for like, 10 hours or more, which is awesome. I also found out that the new Erba Pura bottles are smooth and colored, not like the older ones, apparently. The price is pretty steep, too. I saw it listed for $256 somewhere, which is a big discount from the usual $356. Yikes!
But I was determined. So, here’s what I did. I grabbed my kitchen scale, it is not super precise, but it does the job. I also found an empty bottle of a similar size that was also 100ml from my collection. Then I put the empty bottle on the scale first to get a baseline reading. Then I went ahead and carefully placed the Erba Pura bottle on the scale.
My Experiment Results
- First Try: The scale showed around 400 grams. Hmm, that seemed a bit heavy, but I wasn’t sure.
- Second Try: I took the bottle off, let the scale reset, and put it back on. This time, it was around 395 grams. Okay, getting closer.
- Third Try: Just to be sure, I did it one more time. The scale read 398 grams this time.
So, after three tries, I figured the weight of the full Erba Pura bottle is somewhere between 395 and 400 grams. It’s probably not exact, but it gave me a good enough idea. I ended up buying the bottle from the seller, and when I weighed it, it was right in that range. Pretty sure I got a real, full bottle of Erba Pura. Success! It is fresh and fruity, just like it described. I am so happy with this purchase.
