Elyse Walker Newport Beach CA Fitting Rooms Can You Try On Clothes Before Buying

by Cornell Yule

Alright, let me tell you about my little adventure today at Elyse Walker in Newport Beach. Wanted to see if you could actually try stuff on before dropping serious cash on those fancy dresses.

The Drive Over

Saw that beautiful Newport Beach storefront. Walked in, got hit by that super clean, kinda fancy smell. Felt kinda posh, not gonna lie. Saw this gorgeous silk maxi dress right away. Held it up. Had to know if it fit right, you know?

Asking the Big Question

Grabbed the dress, looked around for a changing room sign. Didn’t see one clear. Spotted a saleswoman. Walked right up, held out the dress, and just asked straight: “Hey, can I actually try this on somewhere?”

Her reaction was smooth, real professional. She smiled, nodded, and said:

  • “Of course you can!”
  • “We have fitting rooms near the back.”
  • “I can set you up right now if you’d like?”

Actually Trying Stuff On

She led me back. Rooms were these private little spots with curtains and doors. Felt real clean and comfy. She guided me to one, hung my dress on the hook inside. Door clicked shut. Sweet.

Unzipped the dress. Slipped out of my t-shirt and jeans. Pulled that silk thing over my head. Mirrors everywhere – front, side, even the back. Could see every single angle. Walked out to the big mirror just outside. That saleswoman popped up again, gave some legit feedback on the fit. She wasn’t just blowing smoke either.

Felt good? Took it off, hung it back up. Didn’t feel pressured at all. Honestly wasn’t feeling it price-wise, so I thanked her and left the dress there. Easy.

Walking Out Empty-Handed

Browsed a little more, saw some other nice things but nothing screamed “buy me now.” Just thanked the saleswoman again and walked out without buying anything. She was still cool about it. Felt good knowing trying stuff on was definitely an option though. Real good.
