Well, let me tell you, this dragon racing team thing is somethin’ else. It ain’t like plantin’ taters or feedin’ chickens. Nope, it’s a whole different kind of thing. You got these big ol’ dragons, and they gotta fly fast. And they ain’t easy to handle. Like a wild mule, them dragons.

Pickin’ Your Dragon
First thing you gotta do is get yourself a dragon. Not just any dragon, mind you. You gotta pick a good one. Like when you pick a good milk cow, you want one that’s strong and healthy. Same with a dragon.
- Some dragons are fast, like that Skrill, they say it’s real quick. Close to Toothless, who’s the fastest, but not faster than that Snow Wraith.
- Some dragons, they’re tough, like a stubborn old goat. Good for tough races, I reckon.
- You gotta figure out what you need. You need a fast one? Or a strong one? Or maybe one that can turn real sharp?
If you want to be slow, go with the Fishman. And that Mink, well that’s good if you ain’t good with dragons. For my money, that Skypian is a good choice.
Gettin’ Your Team Together
Then you gotta get a team. It ain’t just you and the dragon, you know. You need folks to help out. Like a good harvest, you need all hands on deck.
You need a team like a standard dragon boat. They say it’s 22 folks. 20 folks do the paddlin’, 1 does the drummin’ and 1 does the steerin’. I reckon it’s kinda like that, but in the air. Dragon Boating is a real thing, ya know? They started doing that 2000 years ago, over in China. They use boats, not dragons, though.
Now, I heard some folks use a team randomizer. They click a button and it picks a team. I don’t know about that, sounds like cheatin’ to me. It’s like pullin’ a name out of a hat to see who gets the best hog. Don’t seem right.

I heard that if you get that LF Broly, you gotta find good saiyans. Super saiyans, too. I don’t know what that means, but they say it’s important. Sounds like a load of hogwash to me.
Learnin’ to Fly
Once you got your dragon and your team, you gotta learn to fly. Now, this ain’t like ridin’ a horse. It’s way different. You gotta go up high and fast.
They say you gotta look up, about 15 degrees, whatever that means. Then you use your skyward ascent, then you aim down. They say it makes you go faster, gives you more, uh, momentum. Sounds complicated, but I guess it works. You gotta get them dragons movin’!
The Races
Then come the races. That’s the real test. Like a county fair pie contest, but with dragons. Everyone wants to win.
You gotta be smart. You gotta be quick. And you gotta have a good dragon. It ain’t easy, I tell ya. These young folks today, they make it look easy. But it ain’t. It’s hard work. Like balin’ hay in the summer sun, it takes a lot outta ya.

They got these Dragon City Tournaments. I hear they are real tough. Folks come from all over to race their dragons. You gotta know what you’re doin’ if you want to win one of those.
The Best Teams
Now, I don’t know much about the best teams, but I hear things. They talk about the Krayt Dragon Raid. They say there are five teams that are real good. They have the best graphics and gameplay. And strategy, whatever that means. They must be doin’ somethin’ right, though. They probably win a lot of races. I hear folks follow them online, at @dragon_*, seems there are 201 followers and 119 of them threads things.
This dragon racing, it ain’t for the faint of heart. It’s tough. But I reckon it’s excitin’. Like a rodeo, but in the sky. With dragons. Yep, a whole different kind of thing.
So, if you’re thinkin’ about joinin’ a dragon racing team, just remember what I told ya. It ain’t gonna be easy. But it might just be the most fun you ever had. Just like breakin’ a wild horse, it takes grit. But when you finally get it, it’s somethin’ special.
