Discover ellis brooklyn sweet: A Deep Dive into Notes and Longevity.

Okay, so today I’m gonna talk about this perfume I tried called “Ellis Brooklyn Sweet”. I’m not really a perfume expert, but I just wanted to share my experience with it, from start to finish.

So, it all started when I was just browsing around, I found that Ellis Brooklyn is one of my favorite houses and I already got Myth and Fawn. Then I saw this “Sweet” thing. The name alone caught my attention. I read a little about it online, something about “a sweet memory of simpler times”. Sounded pretty nice, so I decided to give it a shot.

When I first sprayed it, I smelled this fruity scent. It was mainly pear, which I thought was kinda refreshing. The notes also mentioned something called ambrette and bergamot, but honestly, I just smelled the pear, and it was quite strong.

After a while, the fruity smell started to fade a little, and then I could smell some floral stuff. It said something about violet, orris, and heliotrope, but I couldn’t really tell them apart. It just smelled like a mix of flowers to me. It wasn’t bad, but it wasn’t what I was expecting either.

Later on, the floral scent also started to fade away, and I started to notice this sweet, powdery smell. The notes said it was marshmallow and white amber. It was sweet, but not in a sugary way, more like a soft, comforting kind of sweet, maybe the musky is doing its job, you know. This was my favorite part, actually. It felt cozy and warm, and it lasted for quite a while.

My Thoughts

So, after wearing it for the whole day, here’s what I think. It’s definitely a sweet perfume, but not in the way I initially thought. It starts fruity, then turns floral, and finally settles into this sweet, powdery scent. I liked the last part the best.

  • Top: Pear, Ambrette, Bergamot
  • Mid: Violet, Orris, Heliotrope
  • Dry: Marshmallow, White Amber

Overall, I’d say it’s a pretty unique perfume. It’s not something I would wear every day, but maybe on special occasions or when I’m feeling a bit nostalgic. I guess the whole “sweet memory” thing does make sense, in a way. It does have this comforting, nostalgic vibe to it. I heard some people call it “Sweet, Powdery, Musky, Fruity, Floral, Iris, Aquatic, Fresh”. I would agree.

Would I buy a full bottle? Maybe. I’m not sure yet. I think I’ll keep using the sample I have and see how I feel about it after a few more wears. But it’s definitely an interesting one, and I’m glad I tried it.
