Alright, guys, so I’ve been seeing this “BAPE x Damian Lillard” thing pop up everywhere, and honestly, I was curious. I mean, BAPE, the streetwear brand, and Damian Lillard, the NBA superstar? Seemed like an odd but kinda cool combo, so I decided to dive in and see what it was all about.

First, I hit up the usual spots – you know, Google, Reddit, a few sneaker forums. I just wanted to get a feel for what others have done.
Then, I started digging around, this led me to a bunch of images and product listings. BAPE’s signature camo print was all over it – on shoes, jerseys, shorts, even basketballs. There’s this bright, eye-catching green and the classic ape head logo. And, of course, Lillard’s “Dame” logo was mixed in, too.
My next step was to check out some unboxing videos. I figured, what better way to see this stuff up close than to watch someone else rip open the packaging? So, I found a couple of videos. The packaging itself was pretty slick – black boxes with gold lettering, very premium-feeling.
- The shoe box.
- The shoe wrapping paper.
- The authenticity.
What about design?
I spent some time, I noticed all the little details. Like, on the jerseys, they had “BAPE” written in the same font as the Portland Trail Blazers logo, and the number “0” (Lillard’s number) had the BAPE camo inside it. Super subtle, but it shows the thought that went into it.
Finally, I just had to see how people were styling this gear. You know, get some outfit inspiration. Back to the internet I went! I scrolled through tons of photos. Some people were going all-out, rocking the full BAPE x Dame look from head to toe. Others were just adding a piece or two to their everyday outfits – a BAPE x Dame t-shirt with some jeans, or the sneakers with a simple tracksuit. It was cool to see the different ways people were making it their own.

So, that’s my BAPE x Damian Lillard deep dive. I went in curious, did my research, and came out with a way better understanding of the whole collaboration. It’s definitely a unique mix of streetwear and sports, and I can see why people are hyped about it.
