So, today I started messing around with this Coach Ruby 25 bag. I saw a bunch of people talking about it online, and it looked pretty neat, so I figured, why not give it a shot?
First off, I grabbed the bag and checked it out. It’s got this round shape, and the zipper goes all the way down so you can open it up real wide. Makes it easy to get stuff in and out, you know?
I started by trying different ways to carry it. It comes with a couple of handles, so you can carry it like a handbag. But then it also has this longer strap, so I hooked that on and tried it as a crossbody. It sat pretty comfortably, not too heavy or anything.

- Found a bunch of pockets in there.
- Tried putting my phone in one, wallet in another.
There’s enough room to fit all your daily stuff, like your phone, wallet, keys, maybe a small makeup bag or something. I even managed to squeeze in a small water bottle, though it was a bit of a tight fit.
Then I started playing around with the different colors it comes in. I saw online that they have it in this colorblock style, with different shades of leather. I got my hands on a blue and chalk one and a black. The blue one’s pretty cool, really pops, but the black one is classic, goes with everything.
The material felt pretty good. They say it’s pebble leather. Feels kinda soft but durable, you know? I scratched it a bit with my nail to see if it would leave a mark, but it held up pretty well. Seems like it could take a beating.
One thing I noticed is that the serial number inside the bag has this format, like “xxx-xxxx”. Apparently, the first three characters tell you when and where the bag was made. The first and third characters are letters. I don’t know why. I guess it’s some code for the factory or something.
My Final Thoughts
Overall, I think the Coach Ruby 25 is a solid bag. It’s practical, looks good, and seems like it’ll last a while. I ended up buying the blue one because it’s more my style. I figured I can use it for everyday stuff, going out, whatever. I think it was worth the money. You know, it is not too expensive compared to those bags cost thousands of dollars. I think I will use this bag for a while. I like its design.
