My Bargain Hunt Begins
Got fed up paying crazy prices for basic outfits in London, so I grabbed my reusable tote bag and hopped on the tube last Saturday morning. First stop was Brick Lane markets – heard they got cheap stuff but never tried myself. Got there around 10am when stalls just opened, rummaged through piles of second-hand jeans. Found these barely worn Levi’s for just £8! Stall owner threw in a belt when I bought two pairs. Pro tip: dig deep in those bins, the good stuff’s always at the bottom.

Surprise Finds in Unlikely Spots
Nearly skipped Primark thinking it’d be rammed, but went in anyway. Boy was I wrong – their clearance section had proper gems. Snagged this oversized denim jacket for £12 and a pack of three basic tees for £5. Saw people fighting over socks though, mental. Carried my haul to Oxford Street next, dodged all fancy shops and headed straight to the charity shops near Marble Arch. Scooped up a Zara blazer for £6.50 that still had the £45 tag hanging on it! Check pockets properly – found 50p in mine.
Endgame at the Pound Shop
Saved the weirdest for last: pound shops for accessories. Grabbed these mirrored sunglasses for £1 that look identical to my mate’s Ray-Bans. Loaded up on hair ties, cheap canvas totes and socks – all quid each. Final score: two jeans, jacket, three tees, blazer, sunglasses plus accessories for under £40. Everything fits in this photo except the mannequin head I nicked from Primark’s display – kidding! Lesson learned: ignore fancy stores and embrace the chaos. London’s full of cheap threads if you brave the crowds.
