Okay, so I’ve been meaning to check out this place, Chatham San Marcos, for a while now. I’d heard some good things, seen some pictures, and it seemed like my kind of vibe. So, I finally made it happen. Here’s how it went down:
Getting Started
First, I looked it up online. You know, the usual – checking the address, hours, see if there were any reviews. I wanted to get a general feel for the place. I found their general location easily enough, but I did not find much details about it online, I had to dig deeper. I scroll through the pictures on Google Maps.
The Experience
I decided on driving to the community by myself.
Drove over there on a Saturday afternoon. It wasn’t too busy, which was nice. I was able to easily find it off of Wonder World Drive.
I noticed right away that it’s a pretty big complex. Lots of buildings, nicely landscaped. It gave a good first impression. I parked the car and headed towards what I thought was the main office.
I walked around a bit, just taking it all in. I saw the pool, which looked inviting, and some common areas that seemed well-maintained. I did not meet the manager or staffs there that day since I did not schedule a visit beforehand. I decided to come back next time.

Final Thoughts
- It’s definitely on the list of places I’d think.
- The overall vibe was what I was looking for.
- I need to go back and actually go inside and see how it works.
So, that was my initial scouting trip to Chatham San Marcos. Not a super in-depth exploration, but enough to get a feel for the place. I’ll probably go back again soon and actually schedule a visit beforehand this time. Stay tuned for part two, maybe!
