Celebrity Handbags: Them Fancy Bags Them Stars Carry
You know, them movie stars and singers, they always got them fancy bags. I see ‘em on TV, shiny and new. Lord knows how much them things cost! More than my whole house, I reckon.
I heard tell some of them bags, they called “celebrity handbags,” cost more than a good tractor! Can you believe that? A tractor! You could plow a whole field with that money, grow enough corn to feed the whole town. But no, they gotta have their fancy bags.
What’s so special about ‘em anyway? They just bags, ain’t they? To carry your stuff. I got my own bag, sturdy and strong, holds everything I need. Carries my wallet, my keys, sometimes a snack for when I’m out and about. Don’t need no fancy shmancy “celebrity handbags.”

But them city folk, they like them names. You know, like that Kylie Jenner girl, always got a new bag. And that singer, Selena Gomez, she got a whole closet full, I bet. They say them bags got names like “Aupen” and all sorts of other fancy words I can’t even pronounce. Sounds like gibberish to me.
My neighbor’s girl, she always talkin’ ‘bout these bags. She shows me pictures in them magazines, shiny bags with big buckles and chains. She says they’re “designer,” whatever that means. Means they cost a fortune, that’s what it means.
- Looking Like a Star, Without Spending Like One
Now, I ain’t sayin’ you can’t look nice. Everyone wants to look their best, even us old folks. But you don’t need to spend a fortune to do it. I heard tell you can find bags that look just as good, but don’t cost near as much. They call ‘em “alternatives” or something like that. Like them handbags under $500 they sell at that fancy store, Neiman Marcus. Still sounds like a lot to me, but I guess it’s cheaper than them real expensive ones.
My grandbaby, she’s good at finding these things. She says you can get the “summer style” of them stars without emptying your bank account. She finds bags at them discount stores, and they look just as nice, if you ask me. She says you just gotta know where to look and how to put things together. She’s got a good eye, that girl. Always lookin’ sharp.
And you know what else? It ain’t just the bag, it’s how you carry yourself. You can have the fanciest bag in the world, but if you slouchin’ around and lookin’ miserable, it ain’t gonna do you no good. Hold your head high, smile, and be confident. That’s what really matters.

So, them stars, they can keep their fancy expensive bags. I’ll stick with my trusty old bag, or maybe one of them cheaper ones my grandbaby finds. This summer, I’m gonna focus on stayin’ cool and comfortable, not worryin’ about what kind of bag I’m carryin’. And if I see a nice bag on sale, well, maybe I’ll treat myself. But it ain’t gonna cost more than a good pair of shoes, that’s for sure.
And them shoulder bags, and them crossbody bags, they all just bags at the end of the day. You put your stuff in ‘em, and you go about your business. No need to get all worked up about it. Life’s too short to worry about such things.
So, that’s my two cents on them “celebrity handbags.” Fancy and expensive, sure, but not necessary. You can look just as good without spendin’ a fortune. Just be yourself, be confident, and find what makes you happy. That’s the real secret to looking good, ain’t it?
