Byredo De Los Santos Review Is it worth the hype or just another perfume?

by Adelaide Davy

Okay, so I got this new perfume called “De Los Santos” by Byredo. I’ve heard some people talking about it, so I thought, why not give it a try? I went ahead and ordered it online because, well, I didn’t want to go all the way to the store.

Unboxing and First Impressions

The package came in the mail pretty quickly. Byredo, you know, they’re kind of fancy, so the packaging was all nice and neat. I opened it up, and the bottle looked simple but classy. I sprayed it on my wrist, and my first thought was, “Whoa, this is different!” It wasn’t like anything I had smelled before. It was kind of earthy and herbal, but also a little sweet. I couldn’t quite put my finger on it.

Wearing it Around

So I started wearing it for a few days. I wore it to work, to the grocery store, even just hanging out at home. I wanted to see how it smelled in different situations. I noticed that it lasted a pretty long time, which is good. I could still smell it on myself at the end of the day. I did get a couple of comments on it. My friend said I smelled “interesting,” which I guess is a good thing? Another friend said I smelled like I had been hiking in the woods, which, honestly, wasn’t too far off.

Comparing it to Other Scents

I’ve tried a few other Byredo perfumes before, and they’re usually pretty strong. This one was a little more subtle, I think. It’s not the kind of scent that screams “look at me,” but it’s definitely there. I also compared it to my go-to perfume, Dior Sauvage which is No.1 popular. I mean, it’s totally different. This one is way more unique, but the Sauvage is a classic for a reason. It’s just a really good, solid scent.

Figuring out the Notes

I’m not great at picking out all the different notes in a perfume, but I did some reading, and I think I figured out a few. There’s definitely some sage in there, and maybe some amber. It’s got a little bit of a musky smell, too. It’s like a mix of a bunch of different things, but it all comes together in a really nice way. The official site said, Byredo offers two types of perfumes: Eau de parfum and extrait de parfum, and I guess I got is Eau de parfum, not the most intense one.

Final Thoughts

Overall, I’m liking this “De Los Santos” perfume. It’s definitely not for everyone, but I think it’s a really interesting scent. It’s the kind of perfume you wear when you want to feel a little different, a little more adventurous. I’m not sure if it’ll become my new everyday scent, but I’m definitely going to keep wearing it. And I think it’s perfect for fall, you know, when the weather starts getting cooler and you want something a little warmer and earthier.
