Okay, so I’ve been obsessed with Manolo Blahniks for, like, forever. But figuring out their sizing? A total nightmare! I’ve heard so many different things, so I decided to finally get to the bottom of it myself. This is my journey to finding the perfect Blahnik fit.
The Research Begins
First, I scoured the internet. I read tons of forum posts and blog articles. Some people said they ran true to size, others said to go half a size up, and a few even suggested a full size up! Talk about confusing.
My Normal Shoe Size
I usually wear a US size 7. My feet are pretty average – not too wide, not too narrow. Just your standard, run-of-the-mill feet.
Experiment Time!
I decided to take a trip to the mall. I started to find a Manolo retailer. The store will be better, I thought.
A Few Setbacks
First, I went to the first store, but It’s so busy.
Then, I found another store. I tried on a pair of classic pumps in my usual size 7. Nope. Way too tight in the toes! My poor little piggies were screaming.
Trying Different Sizes
Next, I tried a 7.5. Better, but still a little snug. Finally, I slipped into a size 8. Ahhh, perfection! They felt comfortable, but still secure on my heel. I was so excited. I bought it at last.
My Blahnik Size Conclusion
- My Usual Size: US 7
- Blahnik Size: US 8
So, at least for me, and for this particular style of Blahnik pump, I needed to go a full size up. I guess it really does depend on the shoe and your individual foot. I will try more styles next time.
