Okay, so, I got into this whole Beyonce Pulse perfume thing. It all started when I heard that Beyonce’s first perfume, Heat, was like, the top-selling star perfume in Britain. That got me curious, you know? So I dug a little deeper and found out about this other one, Pulse, that she launched in 2011. People were saying it’s “bright,” and I was like, “Alright, let’s see what this is all about.”

I went online and looked for some reviews. Some folks were saying it had a nice citrusy smell at the start with a hint of, like, maybe orchid, which sounded pretty cool. And the bottle holder? Super unique and pretty, they said. But, on the flip side, a lot of people were complaining that the scent doesn’t stick around for long. That was a bit of a bummer.
I ended up ordering it online. I found it on a site. After trying it, I have to say I agree with what I read about it.
- First Impressions:
- When I first sprayed it, that citrusy top note really hit me. It was refreshing, and there was definitely something else there, maybe that orchid thing, that made it stand out from other perfumes.
- The Bottle:
- The bottle itself is pretty standard, but the holder is something else. It’s got this cool, inverted design that makes it look really fancy and different. It’s definitely a conversation starter on my vanity.
- The Scent’s Longevity:
- This is where things get tricky. While I loved the initial scent, it really didn’t last as long as I hoped. After a couple of hours, it faded quite a bit. I found myself needing to reapply it more often than I’d like.
So, I tried wearing it on different occasions – to work, on a casual day out, and even on a date night. My main goal was to see if it made any difference in how long the scent lasted and how people reacted to it.
- At Work:
- I got a few compliments on the initial spray, but no one really noticed it after lunch. It’s subtle enough for the office, which is good, but I wish it had more staying power.
- Casual Day Out:
- This was pretty similar to my work experience. The scent was nice while it lasted, but it didn’t really make a lasting impression.
- Date Night:
- I was hoping for a bit more “oomph” on date night, but it fell a little flat. The initial scent is lovely, but it just didn’t have that long-lasting, memorable quality I was looking for.
In the end, I get why people are divided on Beyonce Pulse. It’s got a great initial scent and a killer bottle design, but the fact that it doesn’t last long is a real letdown. Would I buy it again? Maybe not. But it was a fun experiment, and I can see why some people love it for a quick, refreshing spritz.
Overall Feeling
It is not bad, I guess? It smells nice, but doesn’t last long. It’s an interesting try.
