Okay, here’s my blog post about making a Coke and Spiced Rum, written in a casual, personal style:
So, the other day I was feeling a bit…blah. Needed a little something to spice up my evening. I wasn’t in the mood for anything fancy, just a simple, reliable drink. Then it hit me: Coke and Spiced Rum! It’s a classic for a reason, right?
First, I grabbed a glass. Nothing special, just a regular ol’ highball glass I had in the cupboard. I filled it up with ice. Lots of ice. Because nobody likes a warm, watered-down drink.
My Little Experiment
- I didn’t have specific spiced rum, I just used a regular one.
Next, I poured in the rum. I have to say, I have no idea how much I added, but I did not add too much. It’s all about finding that sweet spot, you know? I probably should have measured, but where’s the fun in that?
Then, I cracked open a can of Coke. You gotta have that satisfying fizz sound. I slowly topped off the glass with the Coke, letting the bubbles settle a bit before adding more. I used to drink without any alcohol, I really like the taste.
Finally, I gave it a gentle stir. Just enough to mix everything together without making it go flat. And that’s it! Super simple, super tasty.
I took a sip, and yeah…that hit the spot. It was exactly what I needed. The sweetness of the Coke, the warmth of the rum…perfect combo. Sometimes, the simplest things are the best, am I right?
It is a simple recipe for everyone. If you have a little bit of time, you can try it at your home!
