Then came the crucial part: the mess-up. Seriously. Fingered through the roots near the top, pulling bits out gently. Made it puffier, messier. Tugged a few strands out near the front too, around my face. The half-up knot itself? Pulled at it lightly from the sides and bottom to loosen it up. Didn’t want it looking tight or perfect. Needed that “I just threw this together” vibe.
Checked the mirror. Okay, much better! Less electrocuted poodle, more beachy vibes. Still wasn’t Blake-level stunning, but hey, it was wearable! Took like 5 minutes max once I stopped fighting the pins.

- Top knot backup: Got lazy later. Just gathered all hair up super high, messy bun style. Used a scrunchie! Tugged bits out everywhere. Looked legitimately okay for running errands.
