Alright, buckle up buttercups, because I’m about to spill the tea on my latest vintage fashion adventure! You know I’m obsessed with all things retro, so naturally, I had to dive headfirst into the 70s.

It all started with a thrift store raid. I spent a solid three hours digging through racks and racks of clothes. Honestly, most of it was polyester nightmares, but then…bam! I spotted it: a killer pair of high-waisted, wide-leg corduroy pants. They were a little snug, but nothing a good wash and some strategic stretching couldn’t fix. Score!
Next, I needed a top. I envisioned something flowy and bohemian. I looked online and found a vintage blouse with bell sleeves and an paisley print. It was perfect, only a little pricey. I mulled it over, did a little price comparison research, and finally pulled the trigger. No regrets!
The shoes were the trickiest part. Platforms were definitely the vibe, but finding a pair that wasn’t totally busted proved challenging. I ended up hitting up a local vintage shop. I was hoping for some original 70s platforms, but ended up settling for a pair of modern takes on the style. They’re brown leather with a chunky heel – super comfy and still scream “groovy baby!”
Accessorizing is where the real fun began. I rummaged through my jewelry box and unearthed a long beaded necklace. I also found a wide belt. I knew it would cinch in the pants and give me that hourglass silhouette that was so popular back then.
Hair and makeup was pretty simple. I went for a natural look with a touch of shimmer on the eyes and a nude lip. As for my hair, I styled it in loose waves using my curling iron. I added a flower crown for an extra touch of flower child flair.

So, there you have it! My 70s vintage fashion experiment in a nutshell. It was a blast putting this look together. I rocked the outfit to a local music festival, and got so many compliments! People really dug the vibe. It just goes to show you that vintage fashion is always a good idea!
