Today I finally got around to trying out these Miu Miu white heels everybody’s raving about. Saw them online last month and figured heck, why not give ’em a shot? Let me walk you through the whole deal.
Scouting and Buying Phase
Went downtown last Thursday specifically for shoe hunting. Popped into three department stores before spotting the exact pair at Bloomie’s. Sales lady kept pushing these ugly pink pumps so I had to shut that down real quick. Finally got my size after waiting 15 damn minutes for stock check.
First Impressions Straight Outta Box
- Unboxed them and immediately noticed the leather smelled like old money
- Heels felt way taller than advertised – measured 4 inches with my ruler
- Straps felt stiff as hell, like uncooked spaghetti
The Break-In Disaster
Tried wearing them Saturday for coffee run. Bad mistake. Straps dug into my ankles before I even reached the driveway. Hobbled back inside leaving scuff marks on the porch. Had to wrap bandaids around both ankles like some mummy cosplay.
Next day I stuffed thick socks in them and blasted heat with hairdryer. Leather started groaning like it was dying. Kept bending the straps back and forth like madwoman until they finally loosened up.
Actual Outfit Test Drive
Wore them to dinner Tuesday with blue jeans and silky top. Took Uber cause no way I was driving in these death traps. Night went like this:
- Walked 2 blocks – ankles didn’t bleed! Progress!
- Danced one slow song – gripped floor like suction cups
- Pink champagne spilled on left shoe – panic wiped with napkin
- By dessert time toes felt like sausages in frying pan
Ended up barefoot in parking lot throwing heels into backseat. Uber driver gave me that “rich people problems” look.
Final Thoughts
Okay so – they’re pretty? Hell yeah. Comfortable? Hell no. Still keeping them though. Just bought gel pads and blister bandages in bulk. Would I recommend? Only if you enjoy pain with your fashion. My feet still hate me but damn do these shoes look fine on shelf.
