All About Howl Jewelry: Find the Trendiest Designs here!

Okay, so today I wanted to try something totally new – making my own jewelry! I’ve been seeing all these cool, personalized pieces online, and I thought, “Why not give it a shot?” I decided to go with the name “howl jewelry” because it sounded kinda edgy and unique.

First things first, I needed some supplies. I hit up the local craft store and grabbed some basic stuff:

  • Different kinds of beads (glass, metal, even some wooden ones)
  • Jewelry wire (in a few different gauges)
  • Pliers (needle-nose and round-nose)
  • Clasps and jump rings
  • Some charms I thought were cute

Honestly, I was a little overwhelmed by all the choices, but I just picked what caught my eye. I figured the best way to learn was just to dive in.

Getting Started

I started with a simple bracelet. I laid out my beads in a pattern I liked, then cut a piece of wire a bit longer than I thought I’d need (better safe than sorry!). I used the round-nose pliers to make a little loop at one end of the wire, then started stringing the beads on.

It was a bit fiddly at first, especially trying to keep the beads from sliding off the other end. I quickly learned to hold the wire upright! Once all the beads were on, I used the pliers to make another loop at the other end, and then attached the clasp and jump ring. It took a few tries to get the loops nice and tight, but I eventually got the hang of it.

Experimenting and messing up

After making that first simple one, I was ready to get creative.

I tried making some earrings next, but I used wire that was too soft. So, the shape wasn’t good.

Then I went to make some complicated ones, but I was too hurry, and made so many mistakes.

And I had to redo it, what a mess!

Getting There

After several attempts, lots of tangled wire, and a few pricked fingers, I finally started to get the hang of it.I made a pretty cool necklace with a mix of metal and glass beads, and even added a little feather charm that I thought fit the “howl” vibe. And, the earrings were finally done!

It’s definitely not perfect, but I’m pretty proud of what I made! It’s so satisfying to wear something you created yourself. Plus, it’s a great way to unwind and do something creative after a long day.

I’m definitely going to keep practicing and trying new techniques. Maybe next time I’ll try working with leather or even try some wire wrapping. Who knows, maybe “howl jewelry” will become my signature style!
