Okay, so I’ve been hyped about the AE 1 release for a while now, and I finally managed to snag a pair. Here’s how the whole thing went down, from start to finish.
First, I started by following all the sneaker news accounts I could find on social media. You know, the usual suspects. I also signed up for email alerts from a couple of different retailers, just to make sure I didn’t miss anything.
The Waiting Game
The waiting was the hardest part, honestly. Every other day there’d be a new “leak” or a supposed release date, and my hopes would get up, only to be dashed again. It was a rollercoaster!
Scoring a Pair
- I kept checking different websites. I had like, five different tabs open on my browser, constantly refreshing.
- Finally, one of the sites showed them as “available.” I clicked so fast, I think I almost broke my mouse.
- Then came the checkout process. My hands were actually shaking a little. I typed in my info as quickly as I could.
- And…boom! Success! I got a confirmation email, and I just about jumped out of my chair.
I patiently waited for the delivery, tracking it online like a hawk. And after waiting, finally I got the shoes!
So yeah, that’s my story of how I got my hands on the AE 1s. It was a bit of a mission, but totally worth it in the end!
