Okay, so I’ve been wanting to try out a new lipstick, something different from my usual reds and pinks. I heard about this “Pure Hollywood” shade from abh, and the name itself sounded so fancy, I just had to give it a go. It’s supposed to be a pale nude with a bit of a mauve thing going on, which I thought could be cool for a change.
I finally got my hands on it, and first off, the packaging is pretty sleek. I applied it, and it felt smooth going on. It’s a liquid lipstick, but not the super drying kind, which is nice. The color, yeah, it’s definitely pale, but not in a sickly way. It’s got that mauve undertone that makes it look kinda sophisticated, I guess.

It’s one of those “your lips but better” kind of shades, you know? Like, it doesn’t scream “look at my lipstick,” but it just subtly enhances your natural lip color. I wore it around the house for a few hours, and it stayed put pretty well. I ate some chips, drank some water, and it didn’t really budge. It does dry down to a matte finish, but it wasn’t uncomfortable or anything.
Then the real test. I wore it out to lunch with my friends. I ordered a burger and fries (don’t judge me), and I was fully expecting to have to reapply afterwards. But surprisingly, it held up pretty well! Of course, it faded a little bit in the center, but it wasn’t super noticeable. I was pretty impressed. My friends noticed my new lip and complimented on it, they thought it looked natural but chic.

Overall, I’m actually really liking this Pure Hollywood lipstick. It’s a great everyday shade, especially if you want something a little more understated. Plus, it lasts a decent amount of time, which is always a bonus. I’d definitely recommend it if you’re looking for a good quality, long-lasting nude lipstick. And the name makes me feel like a movie star, so that’s a plus, too!
